JaMarcus Russell - The Franchise

After getting a full season as the starter under his belt in 2008, Russell is ready to make the next leap in his career progression. As fans, we got a glimpse of the game slowing down for #2 in the last 6 games of the season. Enjoy the video and "Stay thristy, my friends!" C.J. :D

Calico,

Great video. I think it would be interesting to go back and look at Russell's footwork at the beginning of the season and compare that to his footwork the last six games.

You will notice he never set his feet until he was ready to throw. This made him able to move in the pocket better and buy some time. When he did run his acceleration was better. Plus, he lowered his shoulder and it took two guys to bring him down.

Good Job,

H

The physical ability is all there, but NFL quarterbacks success is derived by a space of 6 inches. The space between their ears.
Can't wait for WEEK 1!
